The UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center seeks applicants for 5 postdoctoral positions, open to all fields including STEM. This two-year postdoctoral fellowship includes a hiring incentive. Scholars whose teaching, scholarship and/or mentoring has ties to Latinx experiences are encouraged to apply.
The application deadline is fast approaching – November 1.
As part of the UCLA HSI Infrastructure Initiative, the Chicano Studies Research Center will administer the selection of twenty UCLA Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellows over the next four years (five fellows per year, with the first cohort reviewed during 2021-22 to start in 2022-23).
These positions will be funded through the Office of the Chancellor and Executive Vice Chancellor/Provost, and each fellowship may be renewable for an additional year (2023-24 for the first cohort). The purpose of the fellowship program is to advance excellence through a commitment to diversity and scholarly research that addresses Latinx life and Latinx experiences.
Applicants must obtain the sponsorship of a tenured UCLA faculty member who is willing to serve as a primary mentor. UCLA Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellows will be eligible for all of the President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program professional development and hiring incentive programs. Fellowships are open to postdoctoral scholars in the humanities, social sciences, and STEM fields. The application review process will be done in partnership with UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP). Please follow the application directions on the PPFP website. Deadline to apply: November 1, 2021.
