Funder: Hertz Foundation

Opportunity: The Hertz Fellowship

Deadline: September 1, 2022

Overview: The Hertz Fellowship is awarded annually to the nation’s most promising graduate students in science and technology. Using a rigorous, merit-based process, Hertz identifies innovators with the greatest potential to create transformative solutions to the world's most urgent challenges.

The foundation does not award fellowships based on an applicant’s particular field of study; however, they do require that applicants direct their work toward understanding and solving major, near-term problems facing society. The applicant should advocate for their specific field of study and demonstrate how it will be applied to address real-world challenges with the greatest impact.
