February 9th, 2024
The UC Santa Cruz Innovation & Business Engagement Hub, in collaboration with QB3@UCSC, is pleased to announce a new fellowship opportunity for graduate students interested in life sciences innovation and entrepreneurship offered through a partnership with the Bay Area Chapter of Nucleate, a student-focused organization working to empower the next generation of life sciences innovators and founders.
Fellows will gain hands-on experience in innovation landscaping and an introduction to due diligence and sourcing of new technologies. In addition, fellows will have the opportunity to work on independent projects in a specific target area with mentorship from academic and industry experts, and engage with a cohort of peers from Bay Area universities and a network of VCs to brainstorm through challenges in translating cutting-edge science into new ventures.
The inaugural cohort will launch on March 4th, 2024 and wrap up by October 4th, 2024. Fellows will receive a $5,000 stipend and should expect to dedicate roughly 5 hours per week over the program period.
