AERA-NSF Grants Program
The Coordinated Community Review Team (CCRT), which is charged with preventing and responding to sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking, are seeking proposals for the second Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment (SVSH) Symposium event focused on bridging research, practice, and policy.

MBARI’s Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity for talented college students (undergraduate and graduate) and educators to work directly with MBARI scientists, engineers and communicators. MBARI’s state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, including research vessels, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), offer educators and students unique opportunities to collaborate on advanced research and development projects. The program immerses interns in collaborative teams as they learn innovative research and engineering techniques and improve communication skills. Each intern will have an MBARI mentor who will supervise a specific project for a 10-week duration. Interns also serve as peer-mentors to each other.
Applications for the 2022 MBARI internship (June 6 – August 12) will be accepted through February 7, 2022 at 8 am (Pacific).

Graduate Dean's Research Travel Grant
We are currently accepting applications for Dean's Travel Grant awards. Students can apply for funding for travel that takes place during academic year 2021-22. Students who would like their eligible travel related expenses from the 2020-2021 academic year to be considered for the 2021-2022 Dean's Travel Grant award are also welcome to apply.
The Graduate Dean's Research Travel Grant is designed to assist members of the graduate student community with travel to:
- perform thesis-related research
- present original work at conferences
- attend workshops, professional development or programs pertinent to their graduate projects
The total amount of funds available and the number of applications varies each quarter and each application period is treated as an independent award process. The process is tailored to approve the maximum number of applications each quarter, while maintaining a useful award size.

Priority is given to applicants seeking funds in the following order: 1) research related travel, 2) presenting at a conference, 3) funds for professional development, or 4) attending a conference. You may also write in the reason for your request for a travel grant.
The amount of the award given, if granted, will depend on the total number of qualifying applications received and the overall number of grants to be awarded. Typically, the maximum amount awarded per person is $500. The Graduate Division continually seeks additional funding to increase the overall amount of travel and research award funds.
If your application is successful, students will have the option of receiving funds via 1) an amazon eGift Card 2) a physical Visa gift card, or 3) fellowship payment (considered taxable income).
Please note that applications must be COMPLETE and CORRECT in order to be considered.
All applications for the Fall 2021 funding call must be received by the review date of Monday, January 17, 2022.

The AERA-NSF Grants Program is currently accepting proposals for both its Dissertation and Research Grants. With support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Program provides dissertation grants to graduate students and small research grants to doctoral level scholars using large-scale data sets in their research.
The AERA-NSF Grants Program emphasizes the advanced statistical analysis of data sets from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics, NSF, and other federal agencies. The program also supports studies using large-scale international data systems (e.g., PISA, PIRLS, or TIMMS) that benefit from U.S. federal government support. In addition, statewide longitudinal administrative data systems enhanced through federal grants are also eligible for consideration. Proposals are encouraged from a variety of disciplines, such as, but not limited to, education, sociology, economics, psychology, demography, statistics, and psychometrics.
AERA Dissertation Grants
AERA provides dissertation support for advanced doctoral students to undertake doctoral dissertations using data from large-scale data sets. The award provides professional development, training, and networking opportunities for students. The selection process is competitive. AERA-NSF Dissertation Grants are awarded for one-year for an amount of up to $27,500. Please click HERE for more information and to read the Call for Proposals.
AERA Research Grants
AERA provides small grants for faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and other doctoral-level scholars to undertake quantitative research using data from large-scale data sets. The selection process is competitive. AERA-NSF Research Grants are awarded for up to $35,000 for a maximum of 2-years. Please click HERE for more information and to read the Call for Proposals.

The University of Oklahoma Gallogly College of Engineering currently

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is searching for outstanding candidates with research interests in engineering innovations that could transform future healthcare systems. Applicants with a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or related fields are encouraged to apply.
Rice ECE invites applications for multiple tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the area of digital health, broadly defined. Specific areas of interest include but are not limited to bio-imaging/sensing, medical imaging,
multi-omics, personalized health, bio-electronics, wearables and point-of-care devices, machine learning for health, AR/VR/visualization for health, and robotics for health. A particular focus will be on research that directly relates to detecting, monitoring, and treating chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, mental health, and neurodegenerative diseases that have an outsized disease burden. Candidates whose work directly addresses issues of equity and access in health are especially encouraged to apply. These areas should not be considered limiting, and any candidate who believes their work directly impacts digital health or at the intersection of health and engineering is encouraged to apply. More experienced senior candidates amid transformative research projects and with particular experience building institutional equity across their fields may also be considered.
