Post-Doctoral Position at Santa Clara University

Our Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Santa Clara University is excited to offer a position of Inclusive Excellence Post-Doctoral Fellow beginning next September. We are looking for people eager to combine teaching and research, with specialties in Security or Data Science

The goal of the IEPD program is to support the early development of teaching scholars from historically underrepresented groups. Post-docs serve for two years with a reduced teaching load of one course per quarter, with the expectation of developing into competitive candidates for a tenure-stream search at SCU in Winter 2023.

Information about the position can be found at this link or by simply searching our SCU HR website. Our strategic plan calls on us to “recruit and retain outstanding faculty members whose teaching, research, and life experience enrich the diversity of Santa Clara’s academic community with respect to race, ethnicity, and gender.” Last year, our recruitment efforts resulted in twenty of twenty-seven new tenure-stream hires being people of color, helping us to build a critical mass of diverse faculty. Candidates are welcome to contact the chair of our search committee, Professor Nicholas Tran, at ntran@scu.edu or Frank Farris, chair of the department of Mathematics and Computer Science at ffarris@scu.edu.
