UCSC HCI Mentor Coalition

The mentor coalition program in our HCI MS program bridges experienced HCI/UX practitioners with our HCI MS students. It has two primary aims:

  1. Provide connections for students to industry, especially for first generation students and students from underrepresented populations and those who are new to the field.
  2. Create a space for mentors to develop their mentorship skills, network with other mentors across different companies, and impact the UX field.

The mentor coalition is comprised of UX and HCI professionals from industry and non-profit organizations who are passionate about mentoring. We seek a diverse set of professionals from small/big and non-profit/for-profit organizations across different domains (e.g., consumer-facing, enterprise, accessibility, civic engagement, services). Mentors come from companies such as Amazon, Apple, eBay, Google, LinkedIn, Lucidum, Meta, Microsoft, and Wealthfront. Click on the profile below to get the mentor’s most up to the date information.

If you are interested in participating as a mentor, please contact our Vice Chair, Professor Norman Makoto Su.
